​Monica Gregory is a Vancouver vocalist /song writer who has been performing at various Vancouver venues both as a solo artist and with her band Mistral Storm for a number of years. ​She is currently recording her third album " Sea of Souls" releasing the music as singles on Spotify and Apply Music. She says one of the things she loves the most while performing is seeing the audience moved by the emotional resonance of the music.

Beautiful Disorientation
Monica teams up with her band Mistral Storm as the principle song writer crafting poetic deeply spiritual lyrics and creative melodies.
This album in unique in that the lead
guitar sound is actually a viola using
guitar effects. It is also partly experimental. The song " The Wave" uses the viola to imitate bird sounds
during the introduction.
The drums by Leo Cunanan are artistic creating a unique rhythmic landscape. The viola by Joel Wittenbach creates an edgy musical tapestry. Monica Gregory then builds on the foundation with warm keys soulful sounds and powerful vocals.

RELEASE SCHEDULE
In music, the sales and streams are what fuel opportunities for gigs and government funding for artists. I have not started any real promotion yet. I won't until I have released an additional two songs which should be out by May 2025. ( Tell Me About the Desert and Slow Dark Train). I will be releasing a music video for We Can Start Over and Tell Me About the Desert, hopefully in May as well. I will release on Tic Toc once I have these things down and then Facebook ads and a whole lot more. But for no promotion at all, I'm happy to report 1222 streams and I made a whole $ 16 !! That's 4 lattes!! Spotify gives you very little, like one cent a stream. But if someone purchases the song through Apple, the artist makes a dollar ! Anyway, over 1000 streams tells Spotify that your reach is beyond friends and family. So, it can trigger algorithms to promote your music in other venues. Here's hoping :o The listeners are primarily in Canada but
for some reason, Singapore seems to like some of the music! There are
visits on this website from all over the world though mostly the US and Canada . But someone in Nigeria was on the site recently. Yeah internet!! There are no guarantees and you can never bank on anything in music, but for
now, I feel encouraged : ) I just want to make enough money to support my music habit. Now, off to find a coffee shop!
